Ocracoke School and Community Library has 4 public pcs, one card catalog, and three laptops for use by the public and students. With a library card, patrons can check out books, music, dvds, and books on cd using computer software linked to all of the libraries in the BHM Regional Library system. Patrons have access to over 126,649 library items housed in Beaufort, Hyde, and Martin County libraries. With a BHM public library card, patrons have access to NC LIVE at Your library card number authenticates your access to NC LIVE.  The active Friends of the Library group hostes an annual book sale on the porch of the library raising money for the library. Stop by the library and join the Friends of the Library group. Call the library for dates of the upcoming adult programs.
