NC Reads is a state wide award winning virtual book club sponsored by North Carolina Humanities. Hazel W. Guilford Memorial Library is proud to be a part of this program for the past three years. All you have to do is drop by the library and sign up, the books are provided free of charge and are yours to keep! You will also receive discussion guides for each book and can sign up online at https://nchumanities.org/programs/north-carolina-reads/ to virtually attend each book's online book club which include interviews with the respective author or authors of each book. Learn to Fish NC - Introductory Fishing

Join Matthew Rieger from the NC Wildlife Resource Commission for a comprehensive program to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge for a successful start in fishing. Some topics covered are licensing, regulations, equipment, tackle, fishing knots, rigging, bait selection and finding fish.

Learn to Fish NC - Catfishing Basics

Thursday May 22 5 pm to 7 pm.

Join Matthew Rieger from the NC Wildlife Resource Commission for a hands on workshop that will cover topics such as catfish species ID, gear & tackle, riggings, bait types, river vs. reservoir fishing and local hot spots. This hands on workshop will be followed by an on-the-water fishing opportunity!
