Summer Programming

Welcome to the COLOR OUR WORLD
Summer Reading Program

We will be having some great fun this year during our summer programs. Here is a list of important things you should know:

When you sign-up for the Summer Reading Program, you will receive a book bag with all the items you need to be successful this year.
We will be having a mini art show this summer as part of our theme. You will receive a mini art canvas upon sign-up. These canvases are to be decorated using any medium that you choose (paint, markers, crayons, etc.) and all ages are able to participate. Completed canvases are to be returned to Mrs. Denise at the library no later than Monday, June 30, 2025. All art will be on display at the library from June 30–July 19 and will be judged by members of the community from July 14-19, 2025.

On Thursday, June 19 at 10 a.m. we will be having a messy art day. It will be outside and we are going to have tents for the children to do the crafts under. If you can come and help out, we would love to have you. Also, be prepared for being outside with water bottles, bug spray and/or sunscreen.

On Thursday, June 26 at 10 a.m. we will be making tie-dye t-shirts. Please provide your child with their own white t-shirt with their name written inside the collar. Shirts will be done and left so that I can finish them and return them to the children the following Tuesday. I would like them to wear these shirts for the rest of the summer while attending our programs.

On Thursday, July 17 we will be having a special evening program and it will be in conjunction with our Thursday evening Family story time at 6:00 p.m. We will be having storytelling by Curt Hendrix and making S’mores.

I look forward to seeing everyone this year and I hope that you will have a great time with us. All programs are free to the public.
